On his day-long visit to New Delhi, Arnold Schwarzenegger relished spicy Indian food and bit into what appeared to be the biggest naan especially made for The Terminator.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is surely a foodie. The first thing he asked after landing in Delhi was suggestions for a good restaurant. Even at the 12th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit where he spoke about the Green cause, Arnie was overheard asking the people for a good restaurant to catch a bite.
After all the suggestions, the 64-year-old settled for Bukhara, the popular restaurant in Maurya Sheraton hotel. And to please the special guest, the cooks rustled up interesting dishes, including a very big naan.
“I loved the food. I've loved my first trip to India. Here I am with the biggest piece of naan in Delhi. Thank you all, especially @andyz136 for the recommendation to eat at Bhukara. It was fantastic!” Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote on Twitter after gorging on Indian food.
During his visit, Arnie also presented an award to Abhishek Bachchan for his contribution to the Green cause.
“Congrats on the Green Globe, @juniorbachchan. More celebrities should be pumping up green progress. I'll be back, & we should get together,” added Schwarzenegger.
