Deepika Padukone won’t get darker to romance Rajinikanth!
There is a strong buzz that Deepika Padukone might get tanned to romance Rajinikanth in the just-announced Kochadaiyaan. The actress was recently in Chennai for a look and texture test, which is required for the movie is going to be shot with the performance-capture technology.

It was said that the makers of the film Kochadaiyaan will digitally darken the leading lady Deepika Padukone’s complexion so that it matches with the hero of the film, Rajinikanth. “They want the pair to look in sync on-screen,” says a source adding that Deepika will sport a tanned complexion, a darker tone of what she really is.

Reports also have it that the performance-capturing technology requires many adjustments and changes in the actors’ look. Hence it is the demand of a digitalized filmmaking, to which Deepika had apparently agreed. Since Rajinikanth’s look in the film is of a rugged mystic, his look and complexion is kept natural. Otherwise in most of the films, Rajini’s skin tone is shown lighter than he actually is.

However, Soundarya Rajinikanth, who is at the helm of affairs of Kochadaiyaan, has denied the rumours of Deepika getting darker to match her appa’s complexion. But she didn’t mention Deepika Padukone’s look test for which the actress came to Chennai, instead Soundarya said that the actress was in the city for some personal discussions.
