John Abraham’s zeal to establish himself as an action hero has just hit a rough bump with the actor getting his foot fractured while shooting an action sequence for director Sanjay Gupta’s film Shootout At Wadala.

That John is serious about action was known when he heaved a bike over his shoulders and threw it away in the film Force last year. He did the same to the film’s brawny villain Vidyut Jamwal later in the film. But John’s seriousness about doing action and not roping in a body double for himself has landed him, well, on the bed.

Reason, John hurt himself badly while shooting a prison fight sequence with co-actor Chetan Hansraj for Shootout At Wadala recently.

We hear that while shooting the fight scene, John Abraham was required to somersault over Hansraj’s shoulder. It’s while doing this stunt that the actor pulled his hamstring.

Normally, a pulled hamstring warrants complete rest for a few days, but an adamant John continued to shoot the day after and only aggravated the injury, which resulted in a hairline fracture on the foot.

So now, John Abraham has been advised complete bed rest of a week. But when he returns he will be shooting riskier stunts like climbing on top of a moving bus.
