A heavenly glitch results in a body swap on Earth, and from that arises a comedy of a thin man inside a fatso’s body trying to woo a girlfriend who no longer recognizes him. Rajat Kapoor’s film Fatso promises belly laughs.
Navin (Purab Kohli) is in seventh heaven, not because he’s dead but because he’s found love in Nandini (Gul Panag). His fat friend Sudeep (Ranvir Shorey), however, hasn’t met his romantic match, and isn’t likely to.
Navin and Nandini are about to get married when Navin, on an outing with his friends, dies in a car crash, and is taken to heaven. And what a heaven it is! Something that you should see in the trailer than hear from me.
Turns out that because of a clerical error in heaven, Navin was mistakenly bumped off in place of his friend Sudeep, the fatso. Now, Navin is sent back to earth and “allotted” the body of Sudeep. But the trouble is, how will he, in the body of the roly-poly, unattractive fatso, woo his girlfriend who thinks he’s dead.
Fatso, directed by Rajat Kapoor, is a comedy about a Slimboy gone Fat. The film’s story is written by Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla. Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, Fatso is slated to release on May 4.
