No more Chinta worry for Bhansali. The director coughs up Rs. 50 lakh for the 'Rowdy Rathore' chartbuster!

The celebratory spirit of the success of Rowdy Rathore was somewhat dampened for the producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali when a Hyderabad-based music label slapped him with a legal notice over the copyright of the film’s chartbuster track, ‘Chinta Ta Ta Chita’.

Not to drag the matter in the court, Bhansali is learnt to have reached an out-of-court settlement with the music label. The producer has reportedly agreed to shell out Rs. 50 lakh to Aditya Music that purportedly own the rights for the hit number ‘Chinta Ta Ta Chita’.

Rowdy Rathore is a remake of the south blockbuster Vikramarkudu, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali bought the remake rights of the film but the rights of the song were apparently with Aditya Music.

Music directors Sajid-Wajid rehashed the song for the Hindi remake, and when the number became a rage on the music circuit, Aditya Music sent a notice to Bhansali for copyright violation.

To put cold water on the brewing controversy, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly consented to pay damages worth Rs. 50 lakh to the music label.

Though the payment does burn a little hole in the producer’s pocket, but given that the film is turning out to be a rip-roaring success at box office, Bhansali wouldn’t mind it.
