Contrary to rumours that Kareena Kapoor’s exit from Bhansali’s film is due to her wedding to beau Saif Ali Khan in October, the actress says she opted out of the film because Sanjay Leela Bhansali was demanding more dates than she could have spared.
Kareena had reportedly allotted 100 days for Ram Leela, but Bhansali demanded more dates. With Heroine up for release in September, Kareena needed at least a few weeks to promote the film. Moreover, she is going to be busy with three new films, the shooting for which will start in October and continue till next year. Add to that the promotions of Talaash which comes out later this year.
With such a chock-a-block diary, Kareena Kapoor couldn’t have afforded to spare anymore dates for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela. Therefore, she decided to walk out. Now, not only does she have the required dates to promote Heroine, but would focus better on her wedding.
Buzz is that Priyanka Chopra is set to replace Kareena in the film, but there has been no official confirmation of that.
Kareena is set to wed Saif Ali Khan in October this year. She will also start shooting for a new film in the same month.
