|It was recently reported that the trailers of the Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger have been banned in Pakistan, since the Pakistani authorities felt the film is aimed at tarnishing the image of the country’s intelligence agency ISI.
However, the director of Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir Khan, wrote on Twitter: “I will say it once more... #EkThaTiger is NOT anti Pakistan…I am absolutely sure that once the censor board of Pakistan sees #EkThaTiger... they will be more than happy to show the film in Pakistan.”
He added: “In this day and age... its stupid to make films that are insensitive or derogatory to any country or community...”
Not only this, talking to a daily, Kabir Khan said he and Salman Khan are willing to do anything to make the Pakistanis believe that their project is not against their country or their agency! So much so that he and Salman do not mind visiting Pakistan.
While nothing has been officially announced yet, the rumour mill suggests that Salman Khan might very well visit Pakistan considering the huge fanbase in the country!
Ek Tha Tiger will release on August 15, which is just a day after Pakistanis celebrate their Independence Day. It remains to be seen if the film is cleared by the Pakistan censor board.
