Even as Rihanna and Chris Brown have rekindled their romance and plan to go public with their relationship, Rihanna’s mentor has shot off a warning to Chris Brown to not hurt the "Umbrella" singer again.
Pop star Rihanna and her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown are reportedly planning to go public with their relationship next month.
The couple, who has been spotted kissing in public in recent weeks, will apparently confirm their rekindled romance after Rihanna releases her new album "Unapologetic" Nov 19, reports digitalspy.co.uk.
They split in 2009 after Brown assaulted her. He was later convicted of the crime and sentenced to community service.
"She's hitting the studio real hard these days, but talks to Chris every step of the way," said a source.
"As soon as she finishes up with the album, they will be out. She gotta focus and get that album together and stay paid," added the source.
Chris Brown confirmed earlier this month that he had split from girlfriend Karrueche Tran because of his "renewed friendship" with Rihanna.
Don't hurt Rihanna again, Jay Z warns Brown
Singer Jay Z has apparently warned singer Chris Brown not to hurt Rihanna again or he will be in a big trouble.
Brown, Rihanna dated each other in 2008 before parting ways in 2009 after the former was accused of physically assaulting the "Umbrella" singer.
Jay Z, known to be Rihanna's mentor and brotherly figure to her, called the couple for a concert but ambushed Brown for a little man-to-man talk.
"He invited them as a couple to his concert in New York and backstage he called Chris to one side and told him if he hurts Rihanna, whether emotionally or physically, it's over for him," thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
"He'll ensure it will result in the end of his career," the source added.
Meanwhile, Jay Z, 42, has given Rihanna a green signal regarding Brown and told her to follow her heart.
"Jay Z told Rihanna that if Chris is truly making her happy, then to go for it," the source said.
