|Rumours surrounding Saifeena’s wedding are not going to die anytime soon. After exchanging vows in front of family members and friends, it’s reported that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will exchange vows in church. Since Kareena’s mom Babita is a Catholic, the couple apparently will have a white wedding too.
The wedding festivities of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are by no means over. After registering their marriage on October 16, the couple exchanged vows in a simple ceremony, yesterday. On October 18, that is today, a Mughal-themed reception party by Sharmila Tagore is organized in the capital, and if buzz is to be believed then an exchange of vows in church is also part of the wedding ceremonies, followed by a few other events to be held at Pataudi Palace in Haryana, Saif’s ancestral place.
Though the media is agog covering the Saifeena wedding, it’s surprising how the two actors have kept every detail of their wedding under wraps. The festivities began with a fun party at Kareena Kapoor’s residence, which many reported as sangeet, while the next day’s party was tagged as Mehendi ceremony. Surprisingly, there is no mehendi art work adorning Kareena’s hands. Even the function on October 18 was apparently a nikaah, but the insiders claim that there was just exchange of vows. Why so hush-hush, Saifeena?
At least, there are details of the royal reception held today in Delhi. A mughal-theme party with antique props is planned by Sharmila Tagore. The venue is a bungalow at the posh area of Aurangzeb Road. The party will be attended by the political bigwigs. From Sonia Gandhi to Kapil Dev, the list includes 500-600 guests, who will come to bless the newlyweds.
Kareena Kapoor will wear another Manish Malhotra creation, probably in pink or green for the political reception.
