The ‘Dabangg’ director Abhinav Kashyap seems to have pulled off a casting coup of sorts for his next film titled Besharam for which he has already roped in Ranbir Kapoor, and now talks are on with both Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh as well.
As per reports, when Abhinav Kashyap narrated the script to Rishi Kapoor, he expressed his likeness for the film. “He liked the story and is part in the film,” a source is quoted as saying. The sources further reveal that right from the start Abhinav was quite keen to get the father and son duo for Besharam, which also has Parineeti Chopra in lead.
It can be recalled that both father and son have gone out praising each other’s performances in the past. Be it Rishi eulogizing his beta for his acting in Rockstar and recently Barfi or son Ranbir feeling that it is his father’s passion for work that inspires him to do better.
Earlier this year, when Ranbir Kapoor was asked about the possibility of them being seen together on the big screen, he said that no one has really offered them a script that both of them can like, “We both are individual actors and if a good script, good characters come our way and we both like it then we will definitely work together.”
And Abhinav Kashyap’s script seems to bring both father and son on the same board. Interestingly, Abhinav also wants Neetu Singh in the film. He went to Neetu only when he was sure that the role was substantial enough to offer her. Ranbir’s mom is likely to hear the script sometime this week, claim sources.
If things go as planned then be ready to see all three -- Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh in Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam.
