Katrina Kaif recalls going to church and praying to God for bagging a film with Yash Chopra. Now, as we all know, her prayers were answered, but sadly Yash Chopra is no more to see the film’s release.
“I remember going to the premiere of Veer-Zaara, watching it and desperately wanting it. I turned to my friend who was sitting next to me and said, ‘I just want to be part of a film like this’.”
The actress recalled that whenever Aditya Chopra called her for work, she used to go to church and pray to God to let her bag a Yash Chopra film. And her wish was granted, though after a lot of wait, when she got the chance to work with the legendary filmmaker in Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shahrukh Khan.
Katrina also recalled an incident that happened while filming Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Yash Chopra.
“There’s one small incident that happened on the sets. I was not getting the shot right. Everyone kept coming up and asking me, ‘Do you want to rehearse, do you want to keep rehearsing your lines’. Adi also asked ‘do you want to take a break’. Everyone was trying to help me. And I remember that Yashji just came up and started making jokes…he had that sense to realize that all I needed was a bit of space,” Katrina recalled.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be a special film for both Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif just for the reason that it’s Yash Chopra’s swansong. The film hits the theatres on November 13.
