Her movie Cocktail established her as a fine performer, and the praises came as added bonus. The year 2012 was good for the actress Deepika Padukone as she signed films with superstar Rajinikanth and filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar. But a plethora of projects has left Deepika hard-pressed for time.

It’s heard that the stunner, who was more than happy to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, had committed about 150-180 days for Bhansali’s project, and thus made herself unavailable for other producers, also in queue for her dates.

Going by her chock-a-bloc diary, Deepika, first needs to finish the shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, produced by Karan Johar. The movie’s initial release date was in January 2013, and is now expected to be pushed to March. As per sources, the movie’s lead Ranbir Kapoor needs to complete the movie before he moves on to his next.

In the meantime, Rohit Shetty has to start Chennai Express with Shahrukh Khan and Deepika. The movie is said to be a Diwali 2013 release, and the lucky Deeps also has to give her dates for the film. Reportedly, Shahrukh Khan was planning to ask Sanjay Leela Bhansali to spare his leading lady’s dates for a major schedule in Wai in January.

Deepika Padukone begins 2013 with Race 2, followed by Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan; next to follow is Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and then Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express. If things go smooth, then Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Ram Leela is also planned for a late 2013 release.
