Why Shahrukh Khan won’t be a part of Celebrity Cricket League?

Shahrukh Khan is the co-owner of the reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders and yet he’s seldom seen playing cricket, despite the fact that of lot of stars from Bollywood have taken to the cricket field in Celebrity Cricket League.

In fact, Sohail Khan recently invited Shahrukh Khan to be a part of CCL and, if possible, cheer his team Mumbai Heroes, the very prominent face of which is Sohail’s brother and SRK’s arch rival Salman Khan.

“I personally won’t get time to play cricket so I don't think I will be attached to anything else but if it requires me.. I think there are so many stars in CCL, I don't think they need a smaller star like me,” SRK recently told reporters at the grand opening ceremony of the Toyota University Cricket Championship (TUCC).

TUCC is an initiative to encourage young talent and promote cricket at the university level.

“I will be really honest... I am someone who believes professionalizing sports in this country is perhaps the most important aspect if I can any way get attached to it. I am happy that I am associated with it,” Shahrukh Khan said.

The superstar also added that he wants to see more women taking up sports in future.
