The starry music launch of the movie Shootout At Wadala was laced with music, dance and above all item sirens Sunny Leone and Sophie Choudry, but the lead actress Kangna Ranaut was conspicuous by her absence.
Just a day before the music launch, Sanjay Gupta held a special event to launch Priyanka Chopra’s dance number Babli Badmaash. It’s obvious that the upcoming promotions of the film will get a great boost from these item numbers, but it has led to unwitting relegation of the film’s leading lady to the sidelines. This fact hasn’t gone down well with Kangna Ranaut.
“Kangana feels she's being 'kept away' despite playing the female lead and Manya Surve's (played by John Abraham) love interest after PC (with Babli Badmaash) and Sunny Leone (with Laila) took centre stage at the film’s recent music launch…,” a source tells a daily.
Now, it’s learnt that the actress is relatively upset about these recent developments (new attached songs) and doesn’t want to promote the film. Sanjay Gupta, however, cleared the air, and while talking to a daily, he said that there is no unnecessary focus on anyone. He further added, “Kangana is the heroine of the film and nothing changes that. She has no reason to be upset.”
In fact, producer Ekta Kapoor has also tried reasoning with her, and it seems Kangna might pay heed to her. Kangna’s spokesperson has also said that the actress has promised utmost cooperation (in promotions of the film) to Ekta.
So, let’s see when Kangna makes an appearance during the promotions of Shootout At Wadala.
