The actress has started preparations for the film and met Anurag Kashyap in his office for finalizing her look. Thus, she gave look tests and costume trials. “She gave several look tests and slipped in and out of different tops and jeans to figure out a look for her in the film,” a source tells a tabloid. Anurag was also there for the entire process.
As the movie is said to be a part of a trilogy that aims at recreating Bombay from the 50s to the 70s, the makers are planning several looks for the cast. Anushka Sharma being the heroine of the film has to look special.
Though most of Anushka’s films have shown her as a confident, modern girl, Bombay Velvet, which has the actress getting paired with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time, seems different.
Currently, Anurag Kashyap is busy with his short film in Bombay Talkies, an anthology movie marking the 100 years of Hindi cinema. But simultaneously he is also working on his next Bombay Velvet, which is his dream project.
The first schedule of Bombay Velvet is expected to start in Sri Lanka as the movie goes on floor this July.
