|Now as Chennai Express has finally released and Shahrukh Khan is basking in its glory, time has come for the actor to move on to his next. Friend and director Farah Khan is waiting for him, and you know the movie is Happy New Year.
For this film, Shahrukh Khan will once again team up with Deepika Padukone, with whom he shared a smashing chemistry in the just-released Chennai Express. Though the official announcement is yet to come, it’s almost final that no one but Deepika plays the heroine in the movie. Let us tell you something about the interesting cast of Happy New Year.
It’s learnt that besides Shahrukh Khan there are five other main male characters in the movie. Abhishek Bachchan is confirmed to play one of the leads, while the versatile actor Boman Irani and Naseeruddin Shah’s youngest son Vivaan Shah, who made his debut with Saat Khoon Maaf, are also a part of the ensemble cast.
The movie is not without its villain and the role is lapped up by Jackie Shroff. So, after seeing Shahrukh Khan fighting the tall and mighty villain Thangabali in Chennai Express, get ready to see him taking on the baddie Jackie Shroff. Since Farah Khan always has strong characters written for her villains, be it Arjun Rampal in Om Shanti Om or Suneil Shetty in Main Hoon Na, expect Jackie Shroff to shine in the negative role.
Happy New Year is slated to go on the floors in Dubai by the end of this month.
