|It’s no news that Imtiaz Ali’s next will have Ranbir Kapoor romancing his ex-flame Deepika Padukone. Staying true to his style, Imtiaz is contemplating another passionate film and this time, too, it seems that the movie is based on a trip. Tinsel ville is abuzz with the news that the film is titled Window Seat and that indeed hints at a journey.
Recently, in an interview Ranbir Kapoor revealed that his film with Imtiaz Ali is titled Window Seat. But nothing is confirmed as of now, and neither the cast nor the crew is willing to spill any beans.
When Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor worked together in Rockstar (2011), they wanted to team up again, but due to Ranbir’s hectic shooting schedule it couldn’t happen, and Imtiaz moved on to make Highway with Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda.
At that time he even wrote a special article “Window seat in Kashmir, with Ranbir Kapoor” for a daily, and perhaps the director has taken a cue from his own article for the film.
For the film’s leading lady, Imtiaz Ali was spoilt for choice. It was said that the actress Katrina Kaif was eager to do the film, but Imtiaz favoured Deepika Padukone.

Director Imtiaz Ali loves showing life-altering journeys in his films. His debut film Socha Na Tha and even Jab We Met would have been incomplete without the trips taken by the protagonists in the film. Imtiaz Ali’s Highway is also about two individuals who embark on a road trip in a truck.
