|Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan are coming together after ten years for Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, and the producer will not leave any stone unturned in the film’s production value. It’s heard that Shuddhi will be made on a staggering budget of approx 150 crores.
Yes, it could be the most expensive Bollywood film till date, reveal sources. Director Karan Malhotra of the Agneepath fame, who is at the helm of affairs, didn’t deny the buzz either. While talking to a tabloid, Karan says, “We are trying to make a nice dramatic film but yes for sure it will be big.”
The director was recently in Bhopal for recce and has decided to shoot some portions of the film in the city. He found the old Bhopal charm very endearing, and has finalized a few historic places where he can shoot the film, which is based on the theme of reincarnation.
A film on reincarnation is being made in Bollywood after a long time. The theme used to be a hit formula in Bollywood and films like Madhumati, starring Dilip Kumar, and Karz, featuring Rishi Kapoor are great ‘reincarnation’ hits.
Shuddhi is also an intense love story and thus the movie needs actors who can bring intensity on screen. Karan Malhotra was keen to work with Hrithik Roshan after Agneepath, and Kareena Kapoor suits the character to a T, feels producer Karan Johar. Thus the two were roped in.
Shuddhi will on go on the floors by the year end.
