It’s no news that director JP Dutta is going ahead with Border 2, the sequel to his Border on Indo-Pak war in 1971. The director has already roped in his favourite Sunny Deol for the film and was on the lookout for a new hero.
JP Dutta has apparently finalized Nafisa Ali’s son Ajit Sodhi for the role. The boy is blessed with good looks, fine physique, and has even walked the ramp.
Dutta wanted to have a new actor in the film, and held several auditions. “While there has been a lot of speculation over the actor being cast for a pivotal role, we are in the process of locking a name, announcement of which will be made soon putting all rumors to rest,” said Dutta.
It’s said that Ajit Sodhi will play a 19-year-old officer in the film.
Besides Sunny Deol, the film will also star Suniel Shetty. It’s said that the story will revolve around the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and the acts of gallantry medal winner Subedar Prayag Singh of Jaisalmer and his commander Param Vir Chakra winner (posthumous) Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.
The movie will go on the floors soon, and the shooting will start in Jaisalmer. Earlier, Akshay Kumar was said to be on board for Border 2 along with Sunny Deol and Suneil Shetty. However, Akshay’s not doing the film.
