There’s no stopping the box office flight of Hrithik Roshan’s latest film Krrish 3. The film is headed to the 200 crore mark.
In just five days after its release, the film directed by Rakesh Roshan has become the third highest grosser of the year 2013 with Rs. 134 crore plus in its kitty.
Krrish 3 more than reaped the dividend of a festive weekend. It got off to a flying start on Friday with a collection of Rs. 25.20 crore net. Pre-Diwali festivities brought the footfalls down a bit on Saturday (Rs. 23.20 crore), but the business picked up on Sunday (Rs. 24.30 crore) rounding off the film’s weekend business at Rs. 72.70 crore.
It is Monday that saw the film’s business skyrocket to record breaking numbers. Rs. 35.91 crore net. Yes, just a wee shy of 36 crore, that’s the highest single day collection for any Bollywood film to date. And Krrish 3 holds that record now.
Do note that it took Krrish 3 just four days to enter the 100 crore club. The business on Tuesday expectedly showed a dip to Rs. 26.26 crore.
The five-day figures of Krrish 3 tot up to Rs. 134.87 crore, which is just amazing.
Now, the question on everyone’s mind is how long will Krrish 3 take to fly past the 200 crore mark and will it overtake Chennai Express (Rs. 227 crore) to become the highest Bollywood grosser of all time?
