For any top actress, a clash of her films at the box office isn’t an ideal situation. Katrina Kaif is facing one such clash this year.
Basking in the glory of Dhoom 3, the actress is quite hopeful for the year 2014 as she has two films lined up for release: Fox Star Studio’s Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan and UTV and Sajid Nadiadwala's film Phantom with Saif Ali Khan.
It was earlier reported that a lot of filmmakers are vying for the October 2 release, given that the day will kick off the longest weekend of the year.
The Phantom director Kabir Khan has confirmed the movie’s release to a tabloid, “We are releasing our film on October 2. It is going to be a five day weekend, so there is enough space for the two films to co-exist.” Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is also adamant about releasing the film on October 2.
On the other hand, Fox Studios, the presenter of Bang Bang is also planning to release their film during the same weekend, and are not eager to change the date. Kat will soon join Hrithik in Shimla for the ongoing schedule of Bang Bang.
With the two films clashing at the BO, Katrina Kaif is certainly not so happy with the scheme of things. We hear that the actress might step in to avert the clash before it’s too late. Since Kat is the heroine of both the movies, the clash surely doesn’t augur well for her professionally.
