There were mixed reactions to the shooting of the film that took place at Mayur Vihar Phase 1 near the metro station. Since a flyover leading to Noida from Delhi was shut down to public traffic, there was a huge jam on the road and the commuters had a harrowing time.
However, for the curious onlookers who hadn’t witnessed a film shoot before, it was a welcome sight, the traffic chaos notwithstanding.
An action sequence was being shot and a bulk of shooting equipment, including vanity vans and cranes could be seen. A stunt involving Hrithik Roshan was being shot on a body double. Reportedly, Katrina Kaif was unwell on Sunday and not able to complete the shoot.
The filming began from the wee hours of Sunday (around 5 am) and continued till 6 in the evening. There were complaints by some Metro commuters that the bouncers hired by the production team didn’t let them out of the Mayur Vihar station because the shoot was in progress. There are also reports that the bouncers misbehaved with people.
The coming days would see the ‘Bang Bang’ crew including Hrithik and Katrina shooting at different locations in and around Delhi.
A major chunk of the film has already been shot in Thailand, Shimla and Manali.
Bang Bang is a remake of the Hollywood hit Knight and Day. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif reprise the roles played by Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in the original. The film is being directed by Siddharth Anand.
