Bipasha Basu’s upcoming movie is Vikram Bhatt’s Creature 3D, which is made on the lines of Hollywood films like Godzilla and Jurassic Park. However, the fierce creature in the movie is not a dinosaur, werewolf or a vampire, says director Vikram Bhatt.
Vikram Bhatt will soon come up with India's first 3D creature film featuring a monster which, according to the director, is on par with those seen in Hollywood flicks. Guess from where did Vikram get inspiration for this creature. The Hindu mythology.
Talking to a daily about his big project, Vikram says, "Why should I borrow from American culture? My creature is a Brahmarakshas - a mutant from Indian mythology. It's 10-feet tall, has a swishing tail and is in the same league as the Yeti which I believe exists, although I am yet to encounter one."
Like his earlier films 1920 and Haunted 3d, the VFX of Creature 3D will be done in India. Though Vikram wanted to collaborate with a foreign studio for the movie, the amount they quoted wasn't acceptable to him, and since many Hollywood flicks get their special effects done in India, Vikram decided to bank upon his old ally. The creature has been created indigenously in the Chennai-based Prasad EFX. Vikram has worked with them in his previous films too.
Creature 3d features Bollywood hottie Bipasha Basu in lead role. The actress is yet to see the monster on the big screen. Vikram believes Bipasha with whom he has worked in the films Raaz and Raaz 3 is the perfect choice for his spine-chillers as the actress surrenders totally to the movie's script and the director.
Besides Bipasha Basu, Creature 3D also stars Pakistani actor Imran Abbas Naqvi. The release date of the film is not yet confirmed.
