Director Sajid Khan is not the one to get bogged down by critics. Not only has he proved them wrong with Humshakals, he’s already toying with the idea of making the film’s sequel.
The buzz in the industry is that Sajid Khan is very heartened by the box office response to Humshakals, which was trashed and rubbished by the critics.
“What matters to Sajid at the end of the day is whether the audiences love his film. It’s clear now that 'Humshakals' has found acceptance among fans, and there is already the talk of making the film’s sequel,” says a source.
Speaking to a trade analyst, Sajid Khan confirmed that he’s toying with the idea of a sequel, but nothing has been finalized yet.
Sajid Khan has previously struck gold at the box office with his comedy Housefull. Later he went on to make the film’s sequel, Housefull 2, which too was a hit.
Meanwhile, Humshakals has done well at the box office in its first five days. The film is set to cross Rs. 50 crore at domestic box office on Wednesday. It was made on a cost of Rs. 75 crore, but a substantial chunk was recovered from the sale of satellite and music rights.
What’s your take? Should Sajid Khan go ahead and make 'Humshakals 2'?
