When it rains in Mumbai, it pours. Water has been flooding the streets, parks, roads and houses in Mumbai, thanks to the almost continuous downpour since Monday night. Amitabh Bachchan, who is recovering from a stomach pain, hasn’t been able to afford much rest because water has entered his residence Prateeksha.
“Prateeksha is inundated. The road outside is in waist deep water and the lawn, even though it is built on a rise, has filled up and threatening to push the rain into the house. I prepare to move furniture and stuff from the ground to higher positions,” Big B wrote on his blog.
Even the actor’s office Janak, which is close to his residence, has been flooded. Only his other residence Jalsa remains relatively “dry” even though the roof of the bedroom has begun to leak.
“I pass by the office Janak and the staff is getting ready to climb on to the tree by the gate! Water inside the premise and the ground floor is unworkable,” the superstar wrote.
The other members of the Bachchan family are in Singapore by the side of the ailing Amar Singh. Seeing the rain situation in Mumbai, Big B asked them to postpone their return.
