|She could fox-trot, lope and pace with grace. She was with Salman Khan for many days, but went away for a while. When she returned she was shy and it took Salman some effort to get close to her again. Her name is Laxmi.
Hold your horses, folks! The Laxmi we’re talking about is the beautiful mare Salman came to love while shooting his film Veer in which he plays a horse-riding Pindari warrior.
During the shooting of the film in a village, Salman grew so fond of Laxmi that he used to feed her himself. He would always keep a stock of packets of biscuits that Laxmi loved munching. And when she was taken away for another shoot in between, Salman missed her sorely. On top of it, Laxmi got badly injured on this other shoot, and when she healed and came back to Salman on the sets of ‘Veer’, she was shy and afraid. The charmer that he is, Salman befriended Laxmi again and would often go for long evening rides with her.
By the end of the shoot, Salman was so in love with Laxmi that he has now decided to buy two horses to add to the menagerie at his Panvel farm house.
“My love for horses has grown a lot especially after the shooting for Veer. In fact now I have decided to buy two horses for my farmhouse in Panvel,” the actor is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Salman, an avowed pet lover, already has dogs and other animals on his farm.
