Film industry rallies behind Shahrukh Khan
Shahrukh Khan is seeing massive support from the film industry after facing a verbal attack from Shiv Sena over his comment supporting the inclusion of Pakistani players in IPL. The Sena has called SRK “a traitor”, an “idiot” and has reportedly warned the theatre owners in Mumbai against screening the superstar’s upcoming film My Name Is Khan.

The fearless Preity Zinta has come out in support of SRK.

“Shah Rukh is the most secular and the most fair guy I know! It's unfair to judge his movie based on his opinions! I do love Karan Johar and Shah Rukh! Both are very dear to me and I will defend them if someone writes nonsense about them,” Preity tweeted.

Mudassar Aziz, the director of Dulha Mil Gaya, too voices his support for SRK.

“It’s unfortunate that My Name is Khan or any other film should be targeted for an issue that doesn't concern the film at all,” Aziz is quoted to have said.

Directors Mahesh Bhatt and Anubhav Sinha have joined the online forum supporting Khan and there are senior folks like Shabana Azmi and Shyam Benegal who have spoken in support of SRK on national television.
