Shahrukh Khan getting support from all quarters
Though the voices of support are not yet as loud as one expected, people from the film industry and even politicians are coming out to support Shahrukh Khan in the actor’s standoff with Shiv Sena over his remark on the inclusion of Pakistani cricketers in IPL.

On Friday evening, as a clear snub to the Shiv Sena’s call for boycott of Khan’s upcoming movie My Name Is Khan, BJP leaders in capital watched the movie.

The special screening of the film held in New Delhi was attended by members from political parties, including the BJP, which is the principal ally of Sena.

“Politics and films should be kept separate. It's an unnecessary controversy. There is no need for all this,” BJP leader Chetan Chauhan is quoted to have said at the event.

Many people from the film fraternity have also spoken in support of SRK.

Abhishek Bachchan wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter: “All that has been happening over the past few days is very unfortunate and sad! I believe that sports, arts and culture should be above politics...And all I wish for is peace and harmony to prevail over all citizens.”
