She is not just another pretty face in tinsel ville and this Deepika Padukone is raring to prove to her fans and detractors alike. The sexy lass is in no mood to rest or get distracted by heartbreak stories about relationships that are passé for her.

The ambitious Om Shanti Om girl tells a daily, “From the time I was a teenager, I have always known my goals in life.”

The gorgeous lady who started modeling at the age of 17 is all set to wow her fans with her new film Karthik Calling Karthik, where she is paired opposite Farhan Akhtar. She also has a new style to flaunt in the movie. Deeps has said goodbye to long locks and will be seen in a chic-urbane short hairdo.

Not unaware of the competition she faces from other actresses, Deepika says she’s totally focused on just one thing, being the best.

“I’ve got blinkers on and I know what my goal in life is currently. I will not rest till I’m the best,” she says. She is also least bothered about her broken affair and rumours surrounding it and insists that such news are fodder for gossip mills.
