After a mammoth beginning, Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori’s film Kites failed to garner good collections in its second week. A disappointing run at the box office.
According to trade reports, Kites grossed just Rs 4.50 crore approx over its second weekend. The collections show a drop of almost 85%. Here are the figures: Rs 1.15 crore approx on Friday, Rs 1.46 crore on Saturday and Rs 1.87 crore approx on Sunday. This takes the film’s ten-day total to approx Rs 45.50 crore; an unexpected result but it’s not the figure that would cheer up the film’s distributors.
Kites could have done much better as there was no major release last Friday, but that too didn’t work in the movie’s favour. Yashraj Films’ Badmaash Company is still doing better business and in terms of collections it holds the top position at BO this week.
This Friday, gear up for some political drama as Raajneeti releases.
