Asin sidelined

Asin, the heroine of the last year’s biggest hit Ghajini, has surprisingly been sidelined in the first theatrical promo of her next Bollywood film, London Dreams. The teaser of the film focuses on the two male actors of the film, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, and has Asin flashing her beauty in just one shot.

This has reportedly upset the actress who was at least expecting a few shots of her in the promo. Even the audiences seem a bit disappointed by the all-stag teaser relegating the angelic Asin to the margins.

The promo gives the impression that Asin doesn’t have a significant role in the film.

However, director Vipul Shah is quick to allay any such apprehension. He says Asin has deliberately been given less footage in the first promo because he wanted the focus on Salman and Ajay, the male leads whose story the film essentially is. But Shah also assures that Asin is “very important part” of his film.

The director says the other promos of the film will have more of Asin.

Meanwhile, the buzz is that Asin has spoken to Shah about her minute presence in the first promo. But the actress has not made any formal statement regarding it to the press yet.
