Rani Mukherjee, once nicknamed the ‘cry-baby’ of Bollywood for all the weepy roles she did has lately earned the new monikers, ‘bikini babe’ and ‘bikini rani’, for her baring act in the promotional song of the upcoming film Dil Bole Hadippa, co-starring Shahid Kapur.

However, the glam doll doesn’t seem pleased with these new nicknames and thinks that ‘bikini’ is a technically incorrect term to describe the outfit she’s worn in the song.

“Bikini is a very strong word. I have just worn a bikini top with salwar. When you lose weight and tone your body, people are wanting to dress you up in a different way and there is no harm in trying that,” the 31-year-old actress told a news agency.

Rani, who lost eight kilos for the film, also revealed that her character of a Punjabi kudi impersonating as a boy doesn’t indulge in any skin show.

“In the film, I could not take liberties because the glam look would not go well with the character I play,” she added.

‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ will release on September 18.
