May be that’s why Ashu didn’t even discuss his next (which stars her husband Abhishek Bachchan) with Ash or maybe it was because of her hectic schedule. Ashu says, “I had not approached her for ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’. Aishwarya, for me, belongs to a fairytale. She is a quintessential princess and by far one of the finest actresses we have.”
However, the industry was abuzz with the rumours that Ash and Abhishek were again going to work together in Ashu’s next. For her part, Ash has rebutted the gossip and was quoted as saying, “I don’t have the dates right now as my schedule diary is super packed. This film (Khelein Hum...) starts next month. So there never was that possibility.”
Ashu also wasn’t willing to upset her schedules and was happy to sign Asin opposite Abhishek. ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ is based on Manini Chatterjee’s book ‘Do and Die: The Chittagong Uprising: 1930-34’.
After burning his hand directing the comedy What's Your Raashee?, he is in the mood for a return to serious movies.
