Bollywood’s take on education
Several Bollywood films have tried to capture the scenario of the education system in India in contrasting ways!

Be it in a serious manner in Aarakshan, wherein Amitabh Bachchan says - “Shiksha ki ye parallel commercial vyavasta, jo coaching aur capitation ke aadhar par tezi se panapti jaa rahi hai, nasht kar degi sab kuch.” Or in a light and funny way in 3 Idiots, wherein R. Madhavan says that life is a race and Aamir Khan adds, “Saala paida hone ke liye bhi 300 million sperms ke saath race lagani padi thi”, Bollywood has witnessed it all!

It was announced recently that Salman Khan will also be working on a movie based on education system in India, which will be a Hindi remake of the Marathi movie Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho. So, what inspires the Bollywood filmmakers to make films on the Indian education system?

Well, the answer is clear! India is the most youthful nation in the world! And thus, every young Indian connects with the loopholes of the education system and the producers and the filmmakers try to highlight those loopholes!

The latest Bollywood take on the education system in India is Aarakshan. Directed by Prakash Jha, the movie is based on the controversial policies of caste-based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions in India.

The big question however remains - Will Bollywood bring about a change in the educational system of India? The question is yet to be answered!
