'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5' starts with a bang
The opening episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 saw a host of Bollywood celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Malaika Arora, Rakhi Sawant, Sonu Sood and Ayushmann Khurrana burning the dance floor along with other participants of JDJ 5. The dancing stars also introduced this season’s 12 contestants who will vie for the winner’s trophy.

The mega first episode saw the Vicky Donor fame Ayushmann Khurrana getting jiggy with the two hot participants - Archana Vijaya and Shibani Dandekar. He danced to the tune of Woh ladki hai kahan from the movie Dil Chahta Hai and introduced the two girls. Ayushmann also belted out Pani Da Rang for the audience and the judges on the show.

Malaika Arora performed Anarkali disco chali on stage and introduced the comedian Bharti Singh. Both the superperformers then danced to Chaiyya chaiyya. Earlier too, Bharti has shown her dancing caliber in Comedy Circus, but for JDJ, she sizzled like an item girl.

The sweet surprise of the gala evening was child actor Darsheel Safary, who was seen wooing the two divas of Indian cinema on the song Chaudvin Ka Chaand. Priyanka Chopra and star judge of the show Madhuri Dixit came on stage to introduce him.

The first episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 revealed all the contestants except one, who isn’t a celeb. Other participants in the show are Gurmeet Choudhary, Jayati Bhatia, Giaa Manek, Pratyusha Banerjee, Isha Sharwani, Ravi Kissen, Talat Aziz and ace cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya.
