'The Sessions' looks an intriguing movie

The Sessions

This fall is surely an awaited one for all the Hollywood movie lovers; some amazing films are lined up for release! Starring John Hawkes and Helen Hunt, The Sessions is already being touted as an Oscar contender!

The Sessions is about Mark O'Brien (John Hawkes), a 38-year-old man who suffers from polio and is physically handicapped! He intends to lose his virginity and asks his priest if that would be ethical!

After the priest’s nod, he appoints a professional sex surrogate (Helen Hunt), who would satisfy his needs; the number of these physical sessions however is limited to six! As the story progresses, O’Brien starts to like Hunt! An impressive plot, certainly!

While one would think since The Sessions features the male lead as a handicapped person, it would be some serious business, the film, on the other hand, seems to be a warm and happy film! What would interest many is the fact that it is based on a true story!

The Sessions has already been screened at several film festivals and has earned nothing but applause from everywhere! John Hawkes’ portrayal of Mark O’Brien is being appreciated by critics and audiences alike!
