For once, Ranbir Kapoor has let go of his usual diplomatic self and spoke his mind about the horrendous comments on Delhi gang rape victim made by the self-styled ‘godman’ Asaram Bapu.

Asaram Bapu had on Sunday kicked up a row by saying that the 23-year-old gang rape victim should have pleaded with her assaulters to spare her life, should have called them brothers, should have held their hands and feet. The comment, expectedly, drew flak from all quarters, including Bollywood.

At the 19th Annual Colors Screen Awards press conference, when Ranbir Kapoor was asked for his reaction to Asaram Bapu’s statement, the actor’s response was short but powerful.

“I think he needs to get his head checked,” Ranbir Kapoor said. Watch the video below:



In his latest statement, Asaram Bapu has, however, denied that he blamed the girl for the ghastly rape.
