Zero Dark Thirty
If a film is competing in the Best Film category for the Oscars, you know it is an enthralling watch. Zero Dark Thirty, a chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, has got a new featurette which features the interviews of some cast and crew members of the film.
Zero Dark Thirty brings to the big screen the encounter of Laden at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L. Team 6 in May, 2011. Director Kathryn Bigelow says in the video: “The movie takes you behind the scenes of the decade-long hunt of finding the world’s most dangerous man.”
It’s an obvious fact that there were a lot of people -- from the top echelons to the rank and file -- involved across the world in the hunt of Bin Laden and it was sheer teamwork which led to the success of the operation. The recently-released featurette also gives away some footage from the film as we see a Lamborghini being traded by an official involved in this operation for just a phone number.
The most impactful scene in the trailer however remains the CIA board meeting where an official says there is a 60% probability that Osama Bin Laden is hiding in a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan; and Jessica Chastain (who plays Maya in the film) adds: “I know it suddenly freaks you guys out but it’s a 100%.”
