Oh! she looks like her |
Being an effortless dancer, and that too a charming one, Sonakshi Sinha was the first choice for director Sajid Khan for an item song, based on a retro theme, in his movie Himmatwala. The director wanted Sonakshi to look a glam doll, like Parveen Babi and the sensuous siren Sridevi. However, when we saw Sona, she clearly reminded us of someone else.
Ever since Sonakshi Sinha stepped into Bollywood, she has been often compared to the yesteryear actress Reena Roy, and this, in fact, is a very amazing coincidence because Sonakshi shares similarities with no one else but an actress who had once dated her father Shatrughan Sinha. Shotgun was linked to Reena even after his marriage.
Sonakshi Sinha is also not unaware of this comparison, and once even said, “I was a little upset then. But it really doesn’t matter now. Maybe my facial features are similar to hers… I am sure I don’t look anything like her now.” But, we couldn’t agree with her, especially after seeing her retro diva look from the ‘Himmatwala’ track.
Surprisingly, Sona looks exactly like Reena Roy in a silver dress in the Himmatwala song. The actress’ look includes a headband, and her hairstyle with bangs only adds up to the striking similarities between Reena and Sonakshi, even when she is styled to look like Parveen Babi.
