The Diwali of 2013 was special! It was celebrated in a grand way and there were filmy parties galore. Here’s a peek at who wore what for the festival of lights.
Let’s start with the big fat Diwali bash held at the Bachchans’ household. The glitterati joined in the festivities decked up in finery. The sheen of their gaudy outfits was enough to light up a dark room. Don’t believe us! Then have a look at Aishwarya Rai’s OTT pink suit or Anushka Sharma’s multi-coloured saree. Also, Priyanka Chopra chose a very heavy saree in net with sequin work while attending Aamir Khan’s Diwali bash.
However, we loved more the ladies like Gauri Khan, Avantika Malik and Dia Mirza for choosing subtle tones. Gauri Khan wore a saree-gown in beige by Tarun Tahiliani for Diwali party at Jalsa, while Avantika Malik went for a monotone Payal Singhal saree, and for pop of colour she used pink bindi and lip colour. Dia Mirza was spotted at Sushil Gupta’s Diwali bash wearing a handloom saree in blue and pink. Needless to say, the actress looked lovely.
Bipasha Basu also met the media people outside her house, and was seen dressed in a sheer saree which she paired with a brocade blouse.
While most of the B-town ladies went for their regular designer sarees and suits, actress Sonam Kapoor stood out from the rest in Anuradha Vakil’s kurti and lehenga. She is our clear favourite on Diwali!
