Dil Jo Bhi Kahey... Preview

Dil Jo Bhi Kahey is a love story between two youngsters who come from very different social and cultural backgrounds.

The film stars newcomer Karan Sharma and British beauty Annabelle Wallace as the two lovers. Amitabh Bachchan and Revathy play Karan's parents, while Malcolm Stoddard and Claire Oberman play Anabelle's parents. The movie also has a special appearance by Bhumika Chawla .

Dil Jo Bhi Kahey is the launchpad for Karan into Bollywood. The movie, directed by Karan's father Romesh Sharma, is based upon a French TV series 'Cest La Vie' (This Is Life) that was made by Romesh three years ago and starred Karan in the lead.

Anabelle Wallace is the latest British beauty to arrive in Bollywood with this movie.

She has previously done some advertisements in London and has also acted in a British movie called Jerhito. She says she had an �unforgettable experience� working in Bollywood and would like to work in future too if there are good offers.

Dil Jo Bhi Kahey is a sensitive love saga revolving around an Indian family based in Mauritius. The family comprises of Shekhar Sinha (Amitabh), the father, Sandhya Sinha (Revathy), the mother, and Jai Sinha (Karan), their son.

Jai goes to Sweden, Stockholm, for his studies. There, he meets Sophie Besson (Anabelle Wallace) and the two become friends.

Friendship develops into love. Jai and Sophie decide to marry, but they face opposition from members of their families.

Sophie happens to be the daughter of a prominent white family. Sophie's conservative businessman father (Malcolm Stoddard) does not like her relationship with Jai to continue any further to reach at marriage. Her mother (Claire Oberman) approves of Sophie's choice.

While Jai's orthodox mother is not willing to accept a foreigner as her bahu, his liberal minded father wants Jai himself to make crucial decisions of his life.

In this conflict of social identities, Jai is pressurized to marry an Indian girl (Bhumika Chawla), who later realizes the real story and backs out. What happens next? Will Jai and Sophie's love story find a just conclusion?

Dil Jo Bhi Kahey is largely shot in Mauritius except a small part, which was filmed in Sweden where it earned the distinction of being the first ever Hindi movie shot in the Stockholm Palace, the residence of the Swedish monarch.

The movie will hit the theatres on September 23.
