David Dhawan's forthcoming comic caper “Hum Kisise Kum Nahin” features an interesting ensemble of actors like Big B, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and the doe-eyed Aishwarya.
The film has the brawny Dutt in the role of an underworld don Munnabhai (the character is partially a comic take on Vaastav's Raghu). Munnabhai is a bundle of contradictions. On the one hand he is dreaded for his rage and terror and on the other, he is revered for his magnanimity.
Munnabhai's humdrum life is turned upside down by the entry of a beautiful girl called Komal (Aishwarya). Struck by Komal's ethereal beauty Munnabhai gets lovesick. He begins to see and dream about Komal at every step of the way. This worries the Underworld too much. Finally, Dr. Rastogi's (played by Big B) services are called for.
Dr. Rastogi declares Munnabhai's malady as Loveria. He advises that Munnabhai go and speak his heart out to the lady of his love. Simple! But Dr. Rastogi doesn't know that the girl Munnabhai is all set to woo is none other than his own sister Komal.
Komal, on the other hand, is in love with a street pauper Raja (Ajay Devgan) who works as a bouncer in a club. Raja is aware of the status gap between himself and Komal. He has never mustered enough courage to face Dr. Rastogi and tells him that he loves his sister. That is half the reason why Dr. Rastogi is unaware of the love between the two.
Things hotup after Dr. Rastogi comes to know that Munnabhai is actually after his sister. To get Komal out of Munnabhai's reach Dr. Rastogi takes her to US with the idea of getting her married to a decent chap.
Now the questions arise - Will Dr. Rastogi be able to get Munnabhai off his (and Komal's) back? Will Raja be able to earn respect in Dr Rastogi's eyes and consequently incur the wrath of an Underworld don? To find the answers see the film.
