A Mumbai city magistrate on Tuesday issued bailable warrant against Pooja Bhatt on a complaint urging a ban on posters of her film Rog on the ground that they were obscene.
The court had earlier issued process against her on the same complaint following which the actress moved a sessions court urging for quashing it.
The matter is still pending, her lawyers Majeed Memon and Parvez Memon said adding they would move the magistrate to cancel the bailable warrant issued against her.
The complainant had pleaded that the posters of the film -- which was released in January this year -- were in bad taste and obscene and hence they should be banned. The posters have disappeared since long.
Hearing the complaint, the Borivali magistrate issued process against Pooja.
Challenging the lower court order, Pooja had pointed certain technical lapses to show that the complaint was not justified and should be dismissed.
She argued that it was a private complaint and the magistrate should not have issued process against her.
