 'Baabul' tax free in UP

Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday waived Entertainment Tax on Ravi Chopra ’s Baabul starring Amitabh Bachchan , Rani Mukherjee , Salman Khan , Hema Malini and John Abraham .
The decision was taken by the state cabinet in Lucknow, the meeting of which was chaired by chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
The tax relaxation will continue for the next three months.
The film hasn’t been having a great run at the Box Office and was last week was also exempted from Entertainment Tax in Delhi.
In spite of a positive buzz amongst the ladies, the film hasn’t really been able to make headway in the interiors of the country.
It remains to be seen if this exemption of entertainment tax affects the final tally of collections.
