Akshay, Kareena, Stallone to walk red carpet at Cannes

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is pulling all strings to have his big-budget movie Kambakkht Ishq (Damned Love) premiere at this year’s Cannes fest starting from May 13 in the south of France.

Stallone, who plays a cameo in the film, has reportedly been making inquiries about the release and premiere of the film. When informed of producer Sajid Nadiadwala's Cannes plan, he agreed as he is said to be extremely fond of both Akshay and Kareena.


“Is he? That's flattering. When in my early years I was working in Bangkok, I had three posters in my room - that of Sridevi, Bruce Lee and Sylvester Stallone,” Akshay is quoted as saying by a news agency. The actor is presently shooting a film in Singapore.

Kareena, who is shooting for another film in New York right now, also exuberated: “It would be lovely to walk the red carpet with Sylvester Stallone. How many of our actors would get that privilege?”

Directed by Sabbir Khan , ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ also has guest appearances from Brandon Routh and Denise Richards. The film stars Akshay as a Hollywood stuntman and Kareena as a supermodel. Other stars in the flick include Amrita Arora and Aftab Shivdasani .
