Making love with clothes on!

That was what Irrfan Khan told Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch while shooting a lovemaking scene with co-star Divya Dutta for the movie Hisss , starring Mallika Sherawat as a snakewoman.

Since Jennifer is from Hollywood she had planned to make Irrfan strip for the sex scene with Divya who plays his wife. Though Irrfan admits he was comfy in taking off his clothes, Divya was a bundle of nerves. That’s when Irrfan apparently decided to convince Jennifer to let them shoot the scene with clothes on.


However, Jennifer wasn’t to be persuaded so easily. She was amazed how a couple could ‘do it’ with clothes on. To build his case, Irrfan cited the example of his aggressive lovemaking scene with Tabu from The Namesake .

Moreover, he argued that since he plays an orthodox Brahmin (in ‘Hisss’) whose mother could walk in the bedroom anytime without caring to knock the door, it made all the more sense for him and Divya to be clothed while shooting the sex scene.

Now, that convinced Jennifer and she modified the scene. The actors shot with their clothes on, even though the shoot lasted as long as one hour.
