Ram Gopal Verma's forthcoming film 'Jungle' has some ear-catching music. Though the music director Sandeep Chowta is known name for his music in movies 'Satya', 'Kaun' and 'Mast', music in 'Jungle' falls in a different genre from his earlier scores.
'Pehli Baar', a duet sung by Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan is set against the backdrop of digitally generated drum beats. The duo is, however, at best in 'Do Pyar Karne Wale', a soft song full of romantic fantasies of two lovers who are lost in a jungle. This is perhaps the most outstanding song in the whole package. Sandeep reportedly "churned out" the tune for this particular song in not more than 5 minutes.
'Patli Kamar' is a foot stomping number, rendered by Sukhvinder Singh, Sapna Aasthi, Sandeep Chowta and Jolly Mukherjee with full vigor and gusto. 'The soul of Jungle', an instrument piece is full of exotic sounds. Sandeep has done something very similar recently for Cannel V by combining various sounds and styles with Gregorian chants. 'Aiyo Aiyo Rama' is an average tune.
'Racing the Jungle' is another instrument track with some extraordinary work. These two instrumental pieces are the soul of his package and claim a greater stake in the movie too.
According to Sandeep Chowta, " Ninety per cent of the music in Jungle was scored to lyrics. Sameer first came up with the words, and it was only then I started working on the tunes."
