Tina was born in a Gujerati-speaking family in Bombay on February 11, 1955. The Munim family used to live in Bhuleshwar.Tina shot into fame during the year 1978 when she represented India at the International Teen Contest in Aruba. She won the Miss Photogenic and Miss Bikini awards.Pretty, very photogenic, she was discovered by Dev Anand who cast her as his leading lady in Des Pardes. The film went on to become a blockbuster, making Tina a household name. Tina went on to act in over 30 Bollywood movies, spanning from 1978 through to 1992.As her career was going nowhere fast, she re-located to California, then returned back home in 1991, got married to multi-millionaire industrialist, Anil Ambani, quit acting, re-located to Britain, where she gave birth to two sons, Anmol and Anshul.Currently she is settled in Britain, and made news recently as one of the elite invitees to Abhishek's wedding with Aishwarya on April 20, 2007.
