It was celebration time with the first screening of Zee TV’s new show ‘Afsar Bitiya’. The veteran TV stars like Shahbaz Khan, Virendra Saxena, the two actors are also part of the serial, were seen at the first screening along with the young heartthrob Kinshuk Mahajan, ‘Baba Aiso Var Dhoondho’ star Juhi Aslam, and the lead actress Mitali Nag.

Nayi Umeed, Nayi Zindagi!!! Afsar Bitiya - A heart wrenching, motivational story about a simple hard working girl Krishna who has a very small dream, to study. Mitali Nag, a newcomer gets to play Krishna, who will be shown fighting the odds fulfilling her dream of becoming an officer.

Educating girls is one of the strongest ways not only to improve gender equality, but to promote economic growth and the healthy development of families, communities and nations. Taking this thought forward, Zee TV is launching this new series 'Afsar Bitiya', whose universal appeal and topicality will prove to be a ray of hope and inspiration to many. Set in Bhagalpur (Bihar), this show will throw light on the importance of female education and issues surrounding their education. The story traces the journey of Krishna, whose life centers around getting a good education to improve her family’s life. She is quiet and demure yet a go-getter.
