From an actress to a producer, Padmini Kolhapure's transition has been a smooth one.
Her two celluloid productions "Daav Pech" and "Rockford" and a recently-canned "Tere Ishq Mein Pad Gaya Re"(starring Govinda And Preity Zinta) speaks volumes about her aptitude for this particular aspect of filmmaking.
Nowadays Padmini is busy giving shape to her next venture titled "Paanch", which also serves as a launching pad for her tenderfoot sister, debutante Tejasvini Kolhapure. Besides, Padmini seems all geared up to make her mark as a producer on the boob tube with a whole slew of serials lined up for release.
Although that may seem like having too many irons in the fire, but not for Padmini who likes to have her hands full.
As for her acting career, Padmini does accept that offers have been pouring in, but also clarifies that she hasn't clinched any so far. "I want a role that touches the mind, a sensitive sensible role that is worthwhile and really central to the film," avers the dark haired beauty.
Certainly her age does not permit her to cavort around the trees nor is she fit enough to play a mother's role. And the dream role she is looking for might not come her way for a while, except, of course, in her own home production.
